As a dynamic church proclaiming the Word of God, we purpose to make disciples of Christ by:

• Exalting God (Psalms 95:6-7, Revelations 4:8-11)
• Encouraging Christians toward spiritual maturity (Romans 12:1-2, 14:19)
• Equipping Christians for ministry (Matthew 9:35-38, Ephesians 4:11-12)

Missions at Immanuel

Philosophy and Purpose

We believe Immanuel Baptist Church should focus on establishing the local church in areas that are presently "unchurched" and/or "unreached." By "Mission" we mean those efforts which we, as a church, support or are involved in outside our local congregation which are aimed at helping to fulfill Christ's Great Commission to make disciples of all nations. These could be "overseas," cross-cultural ministries, or ministries to sub-cultures within our own country. They could be focused on evangelizing, discipling, church planting, medical, or support ministries. We will attempt to support and encourage works that seek to meet the whole need of mankind, spiritual and physical.

• Develop relationships with agencies who share our vision and will help resource our plans.
• Identify and help train church planters.
• Build intercessory prayer into the lives of God's people at Immanuel.
